We asked Gus which questions travelers ask him most often, and these were his answers.
Do you offer private transportation to Airbnbs, condos, or villas in Cancun and the Riviera Maya?
Absolutely. We take travelers to Airbnbs, vacation rentals, condos, villas, and private homes all the time. The most important thing is having the correct address. If you’re not sure whether the property is easy to find, send us the details and we’ll help make sure everything is set up correctly before you arrive.
How can I be sure I’m booking the right hotel if the name is different online?
This happens more often than you’d think. Hotels change names, get rebranded, or show up differently on booking websites. If you’re not completely sure, send us the information you have and we’ll double-check it for you. It’s much easier to sort out before your trip than after you’ve landed.
What’s the best way to book if my arrival and departure group sizes don’t match?
The easiest thing to do is book based on the largest number of passengers traveling at one time. Then leave us a note explaining how many people are arriving and how many are returning. We look at reservations every day and can usually sort these situations out pretty quickly.
Do you provide guaranteed car seats for children?
We do our best to accommodate car seat requests, but I always like to be honest about this one. Because of airport logistics and storage limitations, we can’t guarantee availability. If traveling with a car seat is important to your family, bringing your own is usually the best option.
How much luggage can a van accommodate?
That depends on how many people are traveling. A family of four with four suitcases is very different from a family of four with eight suitcases, two golf bags, and a stroller. If you’re bringing anything unusual or have a lot of luggage, let us know ahead of time and we’ll make sure you’re booked into the right vehicle.
What happens if my flight to Cancun is delayed? Will my ride still be available?
Yes. Flight delays happen every day, and we plan for them. As long as your flight information is attached to your reservation, we’ll be tracking your arrival and adjusting things behind the scenes if necessary. If it’s your first time flying into Cancun, here’s what to expect when you arrive at Cancun Airport.
How do I arrange transportation for passengers arriving on different flights?
This is very common with families, wedding groups, and larger parties. Sometimes one reservation works, and sometimes it makes more sense to arrange separate pickups. Send us the flight information for everyone in your group and we’ll help you figure out the simplest option.

Who is Gustavo? As Happy Shuttle Cancun’s Sales and Customer Service Manager, he plays a key role in helping travelers plan their transportation throughout Cancun and the Riviera Maya. Since joining the Happy family in 2018, he has helped coordinate thousands of reservations and assisted visitors from around the world with everything from airport transfers and hotel pickups to group transportation and special requests.
