Kelly McLaughlin is a travel writer and creative content lead based in Cancun, Mexico, where she has lived for more than 20 years. She creates clear, practical content that helps travelers understand what to expect when arriving in Cancun and moving through the Riviera Maya.

She began writing about Cancun travel in 2005 as a Tripadvisor local expert and later gained recognition as “Cancun Canuck,” earning the Best Latin American Blog award in 2009. Over the years, she has worked with international airlines, travel agencies, travel magazines, and tourism organizations, creating content that blends local insight with real traveler needs.

Since 2014, she has been part of the Happy Shuttle Cancun team, where she leads the creation of web and social content focused on real traveler experiences, airport arrivals, and transportation across Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
