Five stars for our driver, who was wonderful for both our arrival and return trips! That said, the phone support needs improvement. When our flight from the US was delayed, the phone line for existing reservations went straight to voicemail multiple times. I finally had to call the 'new reservation' line just to get someone to pick up and update our info. WhatsApp works well for general updates, but when you're stressed at the airport, you really need the 24/7 customer service phone line to be answered.

Cancun Airport Transportation to Cancun Hotel Zone

We have used Happy Shuttle three times in the past without issue, which makes this recent experience extremely disappointing. Our driver, Luis P., drove uncomfortably fast throughout the trip, making us feel unsafe. To make matters worse, he was repeatedly passing stinky gas during the ride, making for a very unpleasant environment in an enclosed space. When getting out of the shuttle, I accidentally dropped my phone on seats in the shuttle. I realized it almost immediately, and the company wouldn't have the driver turn around even though he couldn't have been more than 5-10 minutes away. Furthermore, the company demanded a $45 fee just to return it—despite the driver being close by due to construction. The only other option was for them to take it to their central office which was over an hour bus ride. Thanks to the staff at Hotel NYX, I was able to retrieve my phone without a demand for excessive fees or long distance traveling. Given our past experiences with this company, we expected far better service and customer care. We will not be using Happy Shuttle again and cannot recommend them.
