The Cancun International Airport in the southeast corner of Mexico is a transportation hub with daily flights departing to a huge range of international destinations and domestic flights all over Mexico. The departure areas of the four terminals are designed to give travelers a seamless Cancun Airport departure experience from check-in to take-off.

• Pre-Departure Preparation:
  Before heading to the airport, double-check your flight details, your necessary travel documents (passport, boarding pass, etc.), and pack your bags smartly.   All tourists are required to pay the new Visitax before departure from Cancun. Pay Visitax online to avoid lines and delays at the Cancun Airport Visitax kiosks which only accept cash payments.

• Security and Immigration:
  Pass through security checks, which include screenings and scanning of your bags, metal detectors and a check of your ticket and identification. Ensure that you are compliant with the airport's security guidelines to expedite the process.
• Exploring the Cancun Airport Departures Area:
  Once you've cleared security and immigration, you’ll find a departures area with duty-free shopping and several dining options. Pick up some snacks for the plane or last minute souvenirs at the convenience stores. Grab a delicious Mexican coffee and charge your phone
• Boarding and Departure:
  Pay attention to the Cancun Airport departure screens that display flight information and gate numbers. As your departure time approaches, proceed to your designated gate. Listen for announcements and follow instructions from airport staff for a smooth boarding process.
